Good Friends RV Resort (Formerly Canyon Alpine RV Resort) has gained a reputation over the years as a welcoming and beautiful hideaway in the Boston Bar region. Their mascots, NAME and NAME, have established themselves as icons to identify the resort, but recent improvements proved they needed a full logo that houses the mascots.
Together, we found a solution that preserved the mascot's comedic relationship and stands out in the modern market.
Logo Process
Working with the owners of Good Friends proved to me just how welcoming the resort is. I was invited to their location to get a better feel for their brand character, where I was given a grand tour on a golf cart. During the ideation phase, I had a great time exploring an array of creative concepts for the logo redesign.
Through their excellent input and patience, we arrived at the final result!
Final Logo + Guidelines
The final logo creates a moment of comedic tension by posing the mascots back-to-back, framed within a horseshoe. The text adds a strong and modern edge that counterbalances the cartoon nature of the mascot emblem. Together, it preserves the mascots' comedic nature while stepping up the visual language for future applications.
